One of Buxton Brewery’s flagship brews, as sought after now as it was when first brewed in 2010. Their tribute to true, west-coast IPAs. Abundant tropical fruit and resinous pine notes, a beer with a reputation that proceeds it.
Not, as some assume, a reference to the dangerous, sharp qualities shared between a tasty, strong IPA and the Woodsman’s favourite tool. The beer actually gets its name from the high moorland to the south and west of Buxton, visible from the brewery and many parts of the town – Axe Edge.
